Goodbye My Love

Sitting on the bed, looking around the room
My bags are packed, all in the corner of the room
Am smiling like a fool, thinking about the moments we've shared in this small world of ours.
We had our ups and downs,
Acting like love struck fools all the while,
But somehow both of us knew it would come to an end soon.
I remember the picture we took when we first started out as you and me,
Weird how both of us change in so little time, or is it me alone who still thinks that the time we shared was too little?
I take a whiff of your aftershave before I leave wondering when can I smell it again, or will it be the last thing that reminds me of you?
I slowly glance at the watch and realized my time to leave has finally come,
Am leaving the small world we've both shared for the past two years,
Though I know I've outstayed my welcome, it was good to see glimpse of our world again,
Letting me remember all the memories we've made together.
Though you left me alone, I know your smiling up there and taking care of me in your own special way,
As I take a step towards the door, I say a little prayer that I wish you can hear,
"Know that I'll love you even though your gone and not by my side, I just hope that wherever you are now, you've finally found peace.
So goodbye my love, until the next life time we meet again".
As I slowly close the door to the world we've shared,
A smile that you love the most is present,
The chapter of us has finally come to a close.
